BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON - Before I say anything, we love every wedding that we do, and they are all very special. But sometimes we land something that is just extraordinary, like we did back in November of 2018 when Alejandra and Roman booked us and gave us the honor of being the photographers for their wedding in Washington state. This wedding showed us our future home.
We were provided hospitality at Alejandra's friends home. A huge home overlooking the valley. It was a lot to take in as this was our first time experiencing the beautiful forest surrounding this town. It was something I never witness being a native Californian. I felt at home. But we weren't here to sight see. We were here to capture this wedding of this gorgeous being named Alejandra marry her prince Roman in this enchanted place of wonder and exploration. Check out the remastered photos below as they get ready for the wedding day.
We arrived at the Kingdom Hall, where Jehovah's Witnesses congregate to worship and learn about the Bible. Today, it was the venue for Alejandra and Roman's ceremony, making their marriage official. It is always a calm vibe to photograph these weddings, and the speeches are to the point and helpful for the newlyweds. This occasion was no exception. Everyone had big, sincere smiles. For this wedding, Roman had a surprise. Alejandra's parents couldn't be there due to personal and national matters back home. Roman, being the loving future-husband he was, arranged for his dad to give her away via Skype. Keep in mind, this was before the pandemic, and Skype ruled video communication. We were told about this, and we couldn't wait to see her reaction. It was such a touching moment when the monitor turned on after he asked who gave this woman away. Not a dry eye in the Kingdom Hall as we all shared this moment.
inally, the time came when the forests of Washington met our style of photography, and it didn't disappoint. This was the moment I knew Washington was our home for our style of photography. With its countless forests, the possibilities were endless. The moodiness of the weather and forest was a marriage made in heaven for our style.
The warm light that filled the venue fit the vibe of this wedding reception made for these two lovers. How great is it when you surround yourselves with amazing people who support your loving ways? Then, to invite all these people to a rustic barn venue to celebrate your love. It not only made for a perfectly loving wedding but also for some amazing photography. Now, six years later, these two are not just our customers but also our friends.
