CERRITOS & FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA — Some wedding days give you beautiful photographs. Others give you moments that stick around long after the cameras are packed away. Nicole and Adam's wedding gave us a little of both.
Back in 2018, we followed their wedding day from Cerritos to Fullerton. Along the way, there was a surprise gift, a little girl with a very special walk down the aisle, and some gorgeous golden-hour light waiting for us on a rooftop.
But here's the thing about weddings. You can plan the ceremony, arrange the flowers, and work out every minute of the schedule. What you can't plan are those little moments when somebody's emotions get the better of them. Those are the moments I love. The ones where you forget about everything else and just keep photographing.
Nicole and Adam gave us plenty of those.
PRE-CEREMONY
Nicole and Adam had two very different personalities, and somehow, they fit together beautifully.
Adam was the quieter one. A little more reserved, the kind of guy who didn't need to be the center of attention. Nicole, on the other hand, had enough warmth, confidence, and joy to fill a room.
When we arrived, she was completely relaxed. She wasn't letting the excitement of the day get the better of her. She was simply happy. Really happy.
I've photographed a lot of weddings over the years, and Nicole still stands out as one of the happiest brides I've ever had the pleasure of photographing.
And as it turned out, she had a little surprise waiting for Adam.
THE BOUDOIR GIFT
Before heading off to photograph Adam getting ready, Nicole handed me something special. A boudoir album Maria had photographed and designed just for him.
Inside was a personal message Nicole had written for Adam. Something meant for his eyes, not the rest of the world.
And somehow, I ended up playing delivery guy for one of the most personal gifts of the entire wedding.
When I handed it to Adam, his expression changed almost instantly.
Now, here's something I've learned after years of photographing weddings. You can plan every detail, arrange the perfect lighting, and have everyone standing exactly where you want them. But you can't manufacture a reaction like that.
There was no posing, no direction, no grand production. Just a man receiving something deeply personal from the woman he was about to marry.
And sometimes, that's all a moment needs.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony took place at the Kingdom Hall in Cerritos, surrounded by family, friends, and a congregation that had come together to celebrate Nicole and Adam.
There’s always a certain energy in the room before a wedding ceremony. A little nervousness, a lot of anticipation, and everyone waiting for that moment when it all becomes real.
But Nicole and Adam's ceremony had something extra special.
Before Nicole made her entrance, her daughter walked down the aisle to greet Adam.
I've photographed plenty of touching moments over the years, but this one carried a different kind of weight. This wasn't just about two people getting married. It was about a little girl welcoming someone into her life, and a family beginning a new chapter together.
And then came Nicole.
After all the anticipation, the preparations, and everything that had led up to this moment, there she was.
Adam's reaction said more than anything I could possibly write here.
That's the beauty of photographing weddings. Sometimes the biggest moments don't need much explaining. You just have to be there when they happen.
WEDDING PORTRAITS
One of the things we had been looking forward to most was photographing inside the elegant Spring Field Banquet Center in Fullerton.
The architecture, textures, and atmosphere aligned perfectly with our ethereal, moody, and cinematic photography style.
Between the elegant interior spaces and the golden hour rooftop portraits, every part of the venue became an opportunity to create imagery that felt timeless and immersive.
THE RECEPTION
Once the reception began, the atmosphere completely transformed into celebration.
Laughter filled the room.
Guests crowded the dance floor.
And every moment carried the kind of joyful energy that naturally unfolds when people are genuinely happy to celebrate love together.
It was the perfect ending to a deeply emotional and visually beautiful wedding day.

AND THE STORIES KEPT COMING...
Nicole and Adam's wedding was the first story we published on this website. A lot has happened since then. We've met some incredible people, traveled to some unforgettable places, and photographed more moments than I could possibly count.
Different faces, different places, and plenty of stories worth telling. The one thing that hasn't changed is how much we love doing this.
If you're curious about everything we've been up to since, take a look through our portfolio. There's a whole lot more to see.

YOUR WEDDING, YOUR STORY
Nicole and Adam's wedding reminded me of something I've learned over the years. Beautiful venues, gorgeous light, and carefully planned details are wonderful. But it's the stuff nobody sees coming that usually sticks with you.
That's what I love about photographing weddings. Every couple has their own personalities, their own people, and their own moments worth remembering. I'd much rather capture those things than turn someone's wedding into somebody else's idea of perfection.
If you're planning a wedding in Fullerton, somewhere in Southern California, or a little farther down the road, we'd love to hear what you have in mind. Every story starts somewhere. Maybe yours starts with a conversation.
